The Girl's go camping in Southern Utah

The girl's start out the trip at the Best Friend's Animal Sanctuary

They volunteered the first half the day with the pot bellied pigs and the second with the dogs. They worked really hard and did a fantastic job! Dakota tried to smuggle a pig home but, she wouldn't fit!

The visitor center sits at 5,500 feet elevation. They gained 1,000 feet on the hike to the cave entrance, 6,700 feet elevation, with spectacular views of American Fork Canyon.
Do they look tired yet?

They all proved to be waterproof during their campout!

Misc. pics from Math Class

Math doesn't have to be a miserable experience for students... Like in the cartoon above ;) We know "traditional" ways of teaching math are not necessarily the most effective, and at WCA we strive to accommodate the needs and learning styles of our students by using hands-on, interactive activities/methods. Here are a few photos showing students studying math over the past term.

Student Leadership Council Elections

WCA recently held elections for Student Leadership Council (SLC) officers. The candidates gave campaign speeches during an assembly to explain why they're capable of holding a leadership position at school. Students and staff in the audience asked each of the candidates questions, then students and staff members filled out their voting ballots. SLC elections will be held every quarter. Below are pics of the students giving their motivating speeches! Great job guys!

LEE - President
MOE - Vice President

LOREN - Chairman

DUNCAN - Secretary

VAUGHN - Treasurer

Rebecca also did a fantastic job as the announcer/commentator for the election speeches!
